Hello! Happy Sunday! I hope you all are well this morning! I promised you a sneak peek of book 3 today, so here we go! The shivering autumn air blew in the dark night. The many colors of leaves
rustled to the moon and higher still, it seemed. One wouldn’t be able to tell the gift Samhain would bring to those who still practiced the lovely Celtic arts. Inside a large home, a fire burned while a woman sat at a table, a Spirit board in front of her. The circular wood was smooth as she glided her fingers over the entwining vines to the center where a pentacle lay with the Tree of Life. Candles flickered and the wax melted slowly on to the candelabra that held them, nearly finding its way to the tarot cards below. She inhaled a breath and shut her eyes, exhaling as she pressed her fingers gently onto the planchette as the heels of her palms touched the cool surface of the glass that shone in the dim candlelight atop the Spirit board. Farah… A voice whispered in the back of her mind. Farah McCarthy, your brother awaits you… Farah awoke from her bed in a cold sweat and her heart was beating as if it wanted to leap from her chest and take flight. She rose from her bed, brushing down her black nightgown that had managed to ride up her thighs in the middle of the night and walked into her study. She ran her finger along the smooth sphere of her crystal ball that set in the center of the table and slid it down the lovely cherry wood. She sighed softly as she grabbed her Book of Dreams and began to write the strange happenings of her unconscious mind. Your brother awaits you… Farah shook her head and put down the book and her pen neatly on the shelf nearest where she sat. She never recalled having a brother, though a man’s face had entered her dreams before. His face was rugged with his dark brown stubble and his short-cut hair that trailed down the back of his neck to his broad, muscular shoulders. His dark storm-cloud colored eyes pierced her with a knowing that she couldn’t describe. She felt close to him in a way she had never known, could never touch. And yet she never knew him all the same. Was the man who entered her dreams truly her brother? She doubted she’d ever know, but with his fine build and his rippled muscles, she felt as if she wanted to find out. A brother she’d never known and a future she could hardly ponder awaited her, and her journey hadn’t even begun.

Yay! The weekend is here! I'm hanging out with a dear old friend of mine, but don't worry, I'll still be writing and working on things! :) I'll try my best to get in a sneak peek of Book 3 at some point this weekend. Let's hope it's up by at least Sunday! I think I'm being very good about this lately, and I'm really proud of myself. I won't get too proud, considering how lazy I've been (and still are) though.
So, what are your plans for the weekend? I know, I'm getting really bad about not posting things on my blog or twitter or anything, but I'm trying my hardest! Yesterday there was a lot of commotion from the ice and snow to the point of where a vehicle rammed into a home near the elementary school. Yeah, that bad.
On a brighter note, I'm still writing my books and hopefully I'll have some book three character interviews, bios and pictures up within a week if I'm good and keep to it. I know it's taking me forever, and I apologize! I need to work out my schedule and stick to it! That is my new plan! (Someone remind me to do that!) |
